Hydraulic fluid reduces fuel consumption
ADDINOL, German expert for high-performance lubricants, offers a pressure medium based on mineral oils and a novel additive technology. HV Eco Fluid meets the standards DIN 51524/3 (HVLP) and DIN EN ISO 6743-4 (HV) as well as requirements of leading OEM. Maximum efficiency of the system both at extremely high and at low temperatures is guaranteed by improved viscosity-temperature behaviour. Compared to conventional hydraulic fluids HVLP, HV Eco Fluid achieves an increased degree of efficiency for the whole hydraulic which means: higher hydraulic power under full load, shorter response time of the system and – last not least – reduction of fuel consumption.
The new HV Eco Fluid of the ADDINOL Lube Oil GmbH enhances the performance of hydraulic systems and is available in viscosity grades ISO VG 32, 46 and 68. The efficiency of the fluid was evaluated in comprehensive field tests and compared to a hydraulic oil of class HLP. For example it has been tested under normal operating conditions in a Caterpillar mobile excavator 318 filled with 255 litres hydraulic oil and equipped with a diesel engine type 3066. After ten days fuel consumption at full throttle (100 percent) had been decreased by 13.8 percent and by 8.6 percent at 90 percent throttle according to test records.
By the help of a cost calculator one can determine the savings for a plant. The calculation assumes a minimum fuel reduction of 6 percent and takes individual parameters into consideration.
